Affinity with English

Since entering primary school, I have had an affinity with the English Language. Even though English is not my first language, and I don't speak English at home, learning English came naturally to me. I had no problem with all my English examinations and did not need much serious study before every examination. Grammar and spelling, especially, were easy for me.

I remember when I was in primary 5, my English teacher divided the class into 2 groups and asked us to spell certain words. My group won, of course! One of my classmates who was always the top of the class, once asked me how to improve her English. I told her to read more books, other than the school books.

Ever since joining the workforce, I have lost touch with grammatical rules. I felt a need to reconnect with the rules of the English language and what better way than to share what I know.

From now on, you will hear more from me.
